Rittal-CSM, the Plymouth-based UK manufacturing and engineering facility for Rittal, were becoming frustrated with the poor rate of extraction and frequency of fires within the dust extraction system serving their steel grinding process. They approached Western Air Ducts (UK) Ltd. for a solution.
Through the incorporation of Inteliair® dust filtration units incorporating inlet spark arrestors coupled with a bespoke new grinding booth manufactured in our UK facility, we were able to not only provide a solution that met all of the original objectives but also include a degree of modularity allowing an additional filter unit to be added in the future and the operating speed of the fan to be increased to serve further welding and/or grinding positions as output expands.
