When Syncreon entered into agreement with a major manufacturer of printer cartridges to establish and operate a new manufacturing plant in Poland for the filling of printer cartridges they knew precisely who to turn to for the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of a dust extraction system.
The factory is a new and vast purpose built site where Lexmark will be producing toner cartridges for the consumer market. They knew it was critical that a suitable dust extraction system was installed to extract the toner dust generated during the filling process to ensure that their COSHH and ATEX obligations were met.
Western Air Ducts have extensive experience in the design and installation of ATEX compliant dust extraction and filtration systems and the know-how and capability to provide a turnkey solution internationally. This installation was a sensitive one due to the risk of explosion during the filling of the toner cartridges from the powders used. For these reasons we had to guide Syncreon through the process from design through installation to the completion and commissioning of the system in time for production trials to begin.
The system we installed is designed to provide maximum flexibility with the capability to expand as additional production lines are added. It is important to us that we work with our customers to ensure their requirements are met and that the money they invest in their air quality control systems serves their long-term objectives as well as their short-term demands.
